Where Is The Obd Connector On A Mkiii

Done a good search of both the internet and this site - cannot locate where the OBD cable pugs in on a MKIII - 2007

Please advise

between the steering column and the drivers door about where you knee hits the lower dash

Found it - pull out the "money tray" and the socket is above behind a little cover

Second dumb question - where can I get the right s/w to communicate with the car ?

well in that case you original question doesnt help! MK3 2007! so I took you meant a MK2! DOH!

Ford WDS is the correct software - only available to Ford Dealers.
However, any generic OBD II code reader should work.
