Price For Fitting New Clutch

A friend has a Galaxy (not sure if it's a petrol or diesel), but the clutch is on it's way out and he's been told it will cost £150 for the clutch and £300 to fit it.

Does this sound about right?

Sounds about right, depending on the labour rate per hour. I think that the engine has to come out so it's fairly labour-intensive. Have you or your friend tried a clutch specialist or is this a main-dealer price?
