I thought it may be the drain pipe below the windscreen blocked but have poured water down there and it seems to be coming out from the wheel arch as it should. This problem has only just appeared and the footwell was not just damp but absolutely saturated. Are there any known problems that relate to this problem? Any help appreciated, thank you! suzuki91 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Share Posted October 15, 2010 they have'nt got the join in the rear washer pipe there still? on the mk 1 and 2 it can pull apart and leak into the foot well. check behind the trim along the door frame. Dob 1811 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 Hi, I have the same problem on my MKIII 06', noticed about 3 weeks ago. I don't have a sunroof and I'm pretty sure that it's not washer fluid, (doesn't taste right!). Some common solutions. 1.Heater matrix, check for loss of coolant have you been topping up lately. 2.Scuttle drains could be blocked one each side. 3.Aircon drain tube blocked, allows condensed water from evaporator to run back in car. check for for drips of water under car when aircon running. 4.Windscreen leaking, breakdown in bonding/sealer. Mossup Posted August 26, 2012 Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 I've just found this on my '07 plate Ghia, so far have traced it to what appears to be condensate running off the air con unit in in the centre console, water has been dripping in from panel near clutch pedal. checked drain and this appears to be clear but still doing it...
