marinabrid Posted January 20, 2012 Report Share Posted January 20, 2012 Hi allthought i would try and poke a coat hanger down the tops of the drain holes that are somewhere in the scuttle tray corner area, can i find them , can i eck,anyone got a photo where they are or an exact location, i had me torch out a mirror angles there but couldnt find a hole , thought i would try the top approach rather than having to take the wheel arch line off,, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PASSENGER SIDEDRIVERS SIDE They're the in dark bit down in the corners. If you've got blocked drainage then poking from the top wont do much. Much better to poke up from the bottom - the drain outlet is located along the sill lip near the jacking point - its the bit that sticks out, you'll find its bunged up with silt and stones. In my case they were fast with pebbles of just the right size. Thats what you get with a large hole at the top and a small at the bottom. For 15 mins work, its highly recommended to remove the wheel liners (about 8 screws IIRC) and as chris says you'll see why.......be prepared for a nasty sight. Depending on how old your car is and how little flushing of the drainage has been done you'll probably see most of your galvanising gone for a burton. rob2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Report Share Posted December 30, 2012 hi on the outside going up the side of the windscreen theres plastic trim that is held down by the wiper blade nut there is also 2 rectangle clips on the trim that slot into holes in the wing these should have rubber seals on them mine were perrished and i got water in my footwells i put silicoln sealent around the holes in the wing clipped the trim back down rebolted the wiper blade my footwells have been dry for over six months now. please let me know fixes your problem Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
