Dash Board Failure

Recommended Posts

Good evening all!

1st of all, apologise if this has come up before, I'm new to this site, had a look and couldn't find any info on the problem I have.

Im currently on my 2nd ford galaxy (09)

and up until now it's been absolutely fine evenue with 330k on the clock.

recently, the entire dash board has stopped working, and so have the back lights for the radio and heater unit. Tho both still work, you just can see what temp or fan speed it's on, nor the radio station you are listening to.Every now and then, the dash would light back up, and start working for a short time before going back out again. Its becoming a little annoying, if only because the speed, rev counter, fuel and temp gauge all stop working too.

Has anyone else had this issue, or indeed heard of any fault that is 'common'?

I've done the usual, look and change fuses, had a general rummage around for anything that looks loose, but to no avail.

kindest regards

Sounds like the bad crimp issue on a mk2 where the fusebox goes into meltdown- but if yours is really an 09 vehicle its a MK3 - I'd put a post in the MK3 tech section if I were you, its likely to get missed here (mk3 is obviously not the same vehicle at all so problem not likely to be the same)
