ali66 Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Evening all Looking at replacing rear discs and pads on 02 plate 1.9 TDI - I can get the lot from ECP for £42 - Eicher - has anyone used this brand and are they reliable - any common problems replacing rear discs and pads ? BrianH Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 They are ok for cheap brakes, but not brilliant, You might find they squeal a bit. The front discs i tend to find are the more critical ones as they do more of the work, and are more likely to warp over time than the rears. You will need a suitable wind back tool for them - you have to turn the piston to get it to go back in (not just try and force it back).
