Ive installed a sound system in my focus except for one thing. The earth cable for the amp. maybe I haven't looked properly but I can't find a good earthing point. Can anyone please help? I really miss my sounds. I had I.C.E. in my first car (K reg. Fiesta). That was very easy to install. The Focus is a different story.

Cany find an earthing point? make one then! drill a hole in a metal part of thr body, clean off the paint, rust proof the area and stick in a nut and bolt, bobs your uncle as they say! :)

if you dont want to drill a hole use one of the seat belt mounting bolts in the boot area or one of the rear seat fixing bolts? these are fixing into the main body of the car and they should be solid ones as well so you will get a good earth!

...or run a cable back to battery negative?

I must say, VR6, with that current avatar perhaps it should be "Boob's your uncle" rather than "Bob's your uncle" ;)

in the boot, if u look at it straigh on, look to the left and find a bolt that goes onto the metal, should be near the middle, get some sanding paper scratch it down, and attach it to the bolt.

Thats how i earthed mine, works fine )
